Shape City was an educational project taking part at the Architecture Week London in 2006. David Palazón was commissioned by Shell International to design, manage and deliver a series of educational workshops for children at Hillmead Primary in Lambeth and St Jude’s C of E Primary in Southwark. In collaboration with teachers: Suzanne Wood, Janet Rich and Judith Lawton, the children were briefed to design a futuristic building for the Southbank; they named the project ‘Shape City’. The artwork generated throughout the workshops, was photographed and edited into an installation displayed along the Shell Tower hoardings just outside Waterloo Station in London.
