HUMOR DE LOS BAÑOS
San Antonio de los Baños is a city in the Artemisa province of Cuba. Located 26 km from the city of Havana, is the most widely filmed city in Cuba due to its proximity to EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión) which was founded on 1986 by Colombian journalist and writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Argentinean poet and filmmaker Fernando Birri, and Cuban theoretician and filmmaker Julio Garcia Espinosa. San Antonio de los Baños is known in Cuba as the capital of humour, partly due to hosting the International Humour Biennale since 1979, as well as having the first Humour Museum in Cuba, unique for its kind in South America.
Produced by EICTV in October 2012, and co-directed by David Palazón (Spain), Edgar Medina Fetecua (Colombia), Jimmy Azula de la Cruz (Perú) and Edieuza Penha de Souza (Brasil), this short documentary set to investigate the humour of San Antonio de los Baños.
