Hanesan Maibee Ketak-Ketak (Same Same but Different in Tetun Language) is an experimental film by David Palazón funded by Ba Futuru and AECID and supported by the former President’s Office in 2009. Following Dr Jose Ramos-Horta –Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and former President of the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste– on a trip around the country, the documentary presents a navigational series of events, situations and interviews in relation to the subject of peace. Triggered by the President’s Peace Festival in November 2008, the film puts on view how peace is interpreted by different individuals and groups and how these opinions and situations contribute to the overall process of peace-building in this young nation. The film was shown at Casa Europa in October 2009, the Oporto Literary Club in December 2009 and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Kino 18) in May 2012.
