A photo-essay commissioned by IOM at the Rohingya Emergency Response in Bangladesh in late 2018. A brief portrait of life after dusk at the Rohingya refugee camps near Cox’s Bazar, the largest refugee settlement in the world. It was produced simply making use of the light from the solar street lamps installed by IOM with support from its partners in late 2018. Part of a visibility campaign, the images were edited into a social media short film (Facebook and Twitter). This project was a glimpse into the nightlife of the Rohingya refugees, made with the hope to bring some light to their lives, however dark their circumstances.
